I have been looking around to try and identify the Peugeot 10 speed I bought back in 1976 and would like some help. I don't have any photos but it had a bright yellow frame without any chrome on the forks, Mafac centre pull brakes and Simplex derailleurs but beyond that I cannot remember what the other components were.
It cost £80 new from Partridge cycles in Exeter in the spring of 1976, I carried on with my part time washing up job until I had paid my dad back then packed it in to spend my time riding my new bike which given the summer we had was a good move.
My searches come up with bikes in the PX and PL ranges but with their chromed fork legs I think these are higher end than my bike, any help much appreciated.
EDIT! Further searhes suggest it was a P10 which seems to be at the cheaper end of their range for that year and at least some did not have chromed fork legs, if I can find a price list for that year it could help confirm that.
