I am not selling this but it's pretty intriguing to see. I live in Burnaby Canada, this seller appears to be in Mission British Columbia (about an hour away). If I had lot's of dough and space for another bike I might make him an offer. $3,000?? I've got no idea what these fetch but I'm sure they are rare to come for sale. Anyway, just thought I'd share for the benefit of the community more than anything. Looks pretty original apart from the quill stem but I'm no expert on these.

Good question, not sure, I noticed one of these as a build thread where the poster did have to replace the top tube due to a crack, also noted was these are prone to cracking, here's some pictures in the FB post

Seeing as you're not selling it yourself and linking to a sales topic elsewhere, this looks like it fits more under the "marketplace watch" category. Moved.

Always liked the look of these. Too worried about cracks to ever buy one though.

Okay, thanks for moving to its correct spot. Yes, they are very nice looking, I remember drooling over pictures in MBA back in the day, never heard about the cracking until recently

There looks to be corrosion / potential crack at the top of the weld where the seat and top tubes join.

Looks like it's had a bit of a hard life. I'm restoring one at the moment that came to me as just the frame and the forks in similar condition but fortunately not cracked. Doesn't look to have particularly high end components on it. It would need a complete strip, new elastomers and a thorough check of the frame. I think the seat weld looks OK , looks to be where 2 welds join but again would need careful inspection. In that condition I would say it would be worth £400-450 and no more.
