Another Orange P7

Shortly off to collect an Orange P7 I won on eBay. Looks like it needs a bit of work but hopefully not too much. Will update once I've got my grubby mitts on it.

I hope the angry orange saddle is in good nick

Well my powers of observation have failed me. It's not even an Angry Orange Saddle it's a Cerfas Arc

It all needs a good strip down and clean. The drivetrain has been "upgraded" to 9 speed and it's got V Brakes on the front and canti's on the back. The Pace forks are still plush which was a pleasant surprise and the seatpost is not seized.

So for 85 quid I'm quite pleased.

The serial number is mostly illegible but I can just about make out A50, so I think that makes it a 95.

I wonder who Nick Howard was?

Started the strip down and assessment of the parts.

There was loads of chainstay protection. A neoprene cover, several wraps of gaffer tape, followed by wraps of electrical tape and a plastic guard underneath.

A horrible sticky mess to remove.



Still at least the paint work should be well protected.....

Thanks but I think I'll wait and see what other horrors are lurking before getting any parts for it.
