The only decal appears to say "bike". Which is helpful...

Rear brake bridge is very like the one on my Raleigh Peak, so maybe an earlier Raleigh model.....

Lugs, rear brake bridge and cable guides are about the same as British Eagle (Inferno? Not sure about model, was Reynolds 500 and equipped with 200GS) I had, but the colour scheme is a totally different concept. Also chainstays look a bit different, hard to tell from these pictures.

I'm with you. Don't know why but my first thought was Carrera as well.

It definitely is a Carrera from around 1988 - a lad at school had one of these back in the day.

I just can't quite remember the name of the model, it was definitely below the Quattro though...it will come to me eventually!
