Nice. The Marin single pivots were the first affordable bikes that you can still ride today and not wish you were riding something 20 years newer. I had a first gen. Rift Zone which only needed more travel up front to make it last me 18 years!

That’s great news, I’m glad I bought a good one!
Unfortunately after a ride at the weekend (road only) and some feedback from a friend it still has some issues to fix. The most catastrophic being the front suspension somehow locking out hard at 30mm travel. Looks like they’ll have to come off and since spares are none existent might end up trashed. I have another set of forks ready to go on but they aren’t triple crown plus they are disc only.

Still, I replaced the BB yesterday, with a new UN55. So nice and smooth
And it’s got a comfier saddle on it too.

Looking for replacement forks and possible a fitting WTB saddle, not sure if they ever did ones with orange edges? Or just red?

Still waiting for the new forks to go on, but getting some good use in the mean time. Love this bike!



The Avid Vee brakes are spot on and the 1x Zee just works so well. Minion Tyres are really really good too
