I'm sure this question comes up frequently but I'm being lazy and can't be bothered to look... Can anyone recommend a good anodiser? Now that Rampage has emptied his tanks and unplugged his transformers I need an alternate!

Thanks

Re:

Thanks, I should have posted this earlier as I could have popped in on the way home! Any idea on price/quality? They look pretty good.

Re:

Awesome that could be a 1 stop shop for me and it’s only an hour away. I need Ali welding anodising and powder coating for my heckler build.

The place is to be visited if possible..... it’s like nothing else- one of those places you could spent an hour just looking at what they've got in

Proper old school and parts everywhere, Shit tip/ mad professors work shop - they do a lot of custom work for bikers of the hairy kind who would probably have their clan kick the shit out of them if the screwed up

Last time I went in to collect my Rock Lobster they had an absolute mint Yoshimura works replica Suzuki GSX-R from around 1989/90 that was to die for, the choppers and trikes mostly frames leave me cold but the GSX-R was something else and obviously someones big buck project bike

As for pricing give them a call as it’s proper hands on rather than poncy office staff and the work is all one off's so would be difficult to price up on a website

First time I went I only took an old fork and a tiny noodle from a Girvin Flexstem and they were very reasonable on price and also interested in what I wanted doing.

bike porn - akin to this and equally as clean

Hi Caspar

One thing to consider that has worked well for me is that when you take your parts in, if you have a target part for them to reference it helps them and you immensely. The anodizer I use in SoCal now has the turquoise, 3DV and red that Ringle used on file since I sent either an original stem or post along initially.

Their 100% now but I’ve been back and forth with a couple other less expensive shops but didn’t get the quality or accuracy. Just a thought...

It’s great that their so close to you!

Cheers,
Jason

Sound advise that about a reference part

Just to add to the above.... I’ve only used them for powder coat and wet clear coat with Metallic flake like THM and Graveymonster have

Interested to know how you get on the Ano so please update this thread if you decide to use them

BTW - Griff died 10 years ago and the staff bought the business so don’t as I did and ask for him as they’ll take the piss if you blush (it’s that kind of place)

Re:

Good idea. It'll have to be the seat post as the headset is now fitted. Although I'm thinking of pulling it out and getting them to polish the frame.

I'll keep you posted.

If you need any specific colors let me know and I’ll send them over. I have most part samples in decent to new condition. It really helps with the process having a better understanding of it now. BTW, did you get your package?
