Hello Everybody,
I was looking, today, for a second hand AMP B4 shock to buy when I discovered this site. I'll create another Topic regarding my problems with the rear shock.
I especially went to the USA in August 1994 and only ended up leaving in early December 1995 after eventually getting my bike in July 1995. So, I am the original owner of one of the very first B4 bikes produced. At that time I purchased an F2 fork and I had no idea that an F3 and F4 were just around the corner. All up I spent about $USD3500.00 and assembled it myself. The bike weighed about 24 pounds and still does with some of the upgrades I have since made. I think I could get it down to 22 pounds if I had a spare $1000.00.

Rear Tire: Kenda Nevegal 2.1/WTB Wolverine 1.9/ Ritchey Z-max Evolution 2.1
Accessories: Ringle H2O water bottle cage, Avocet 50 Computer
Weight: around 24 pounds, could be less with some Stans rims and if I could find a lighter rear hub to match the Disc Adaptor
Future changes: 22/34/46 chainrings, bar ends, replace the Nevegals with Continental Mountain Kings, Charge Bikes Spoon Saddle
This bike is a XC rocket. If I can get the other inch of travel I am looking for it will be even faster as it is oversprung for my weight (approx. 130-135 pounds) even with the lowest rating springs that AMP have available.
I use Bel-Ray 5wt Motorcycle suspension fluid in all the shocks and the damping seems spot on.
