Alternative Uses For Old Forks

Pace have just confirmed my fears that my RC36s are twisted and beyond economic repair, rather than throwing them away I was wandering if anyone has any alternative uses for a pair if forks, I'm thinking they could make a nice toilet roll holder.

I like this idea...

I like that idea, the lamp shade lets it down a bit though.
Maybe a retro helmet or something instead? (as long as it doesn't melt!).

I'm doing that at the moment, well at least it's one of the simmering background projects.

I'm using a BMX fork and the front of the frame. The frame was a cheap old school no-name thing that was bent, so I cut off the front end of the frame about 2 inches back from the gusset, It will be stripped and resprayed, shiny headset cups (but no bearings) overtightened to lock into place. The whole thing will be epoxied into a decorative piece of wood for wall mounting.

I had to splay the forks out a little to fit a full TP roll and I'm using an old QR skewer for fast roll changes.

Once done, it will 2018 and I'll post photos. :)

Stick an LED bulb in and it won't generate enough heat to melt ice cream, never mind a helmet.

Maybe do something like this but remove the steerer and make a coffee/bedside table?

Nice, but more important: where do you get that toilet paper ;)
I tried this once, but found toilet paper rolls here are wider than 110mm so it didn't work.
Have a spare fork with a Maxle, very convenient for replacing the toilet roll
