Alpinestars E-Stay Frame

Looking for a 17" (or smaller frame) 1992, 1993 Al-Mega prefered but would now consider Cro-Mega. And if possible no obvious cracks. :roll: I didn't have a lot of luck with the last two I managed to get my hands on. Garage wall display only both of them.

There are a couple on ebay I think. What was up with the last lot you bought? I'm after a cromege/almega pre e-stays.

The one I spotted on eBay is 19" which appears to be the most common size, they seem to come up there and on here now and again. The smaller sizes not so much. Curse of shorter legs you see.
I had a Al-Mega 1991 frame that had a ruined seat tube and the classic cracking around the downtube/head tube weld. I also had a Al-Mega 1992 frame with cracking around the top tube/ head tube weld that was very small to begin with but after replacing the headset it got a lot worse. :facepalm:
If only that Ti-Mega that is up for sale at the moment had been a 17".

Oh my word that Ti-Mega- if I had the spare cash it would be bought in a heart beat.

Is this one not a 17? I looked at buying it but the dimensions look a bit small.

Think you are right judging by the position of the top tube/ seat tube weld. Might have a bid on that. Would really like an Al-Mega though.
That Ti-Mega, irony is at the moment I probably have the funds available to get within the price range above £2K though not as high as that guy's suggested price. But it's too big. :facepalm: and to be stupidly pendantic I insist on the titanium rigid forks.

Got a couple of leads but still on the lookout. Like to add that I would also be interested in an Alpine Xross 91/92 in the unlikely event that one is in the offing.

That's lovely, that is....but just got my hands on an e stay frame and am starting on the bits for it. Got to avoid temptation if I am to finish this build.
Great job on the bike though and you just can't beat butterscotch Psychos.
