Air Shock advice

I figured if anyone will know about this they will be on this forum at some point

This is a simple shock, which I cant bring my self to throw away.

and I cant find anything about it online

So can some tell me how I can get into it, in order to "service" it.

Once I am in I will get new seals for it from the Pirtek branch 5 mins down the road

Symptoms
- the Shock is fully compressed and even if I stick 200lbs in it - it wont extend.
the rebound knob screws in and out and clicks nicely.

Yeah I tried that and thery all show you how to remove the air can but I cant see how the can comes off this one

it looks like there might be a joint near the top end - nothing to lose I guess its going in the vice tonight!

I wish it was as easy that that the new o2 shocks look very similar to Fox but mine is the older one with no obvious joint on the air sleeve.

anyway I didnt get toit last night - picked up another wrecked trike - for spares!

Re:

The joint is at the top. The can is internally threaded and the top eyelet assembly screws inside. It's just less visible/obvious. Hold the can, and put a bar through the eyelet and unscrew slightly. You should see then where it unscrews. As it's stuck down, don't undo much until you have all the safety precautions in place.

Older fox shocks were the same design.

Double Boom 120PSI holding

i did clean it up and lube it

its going back on me bike later and I will see how it rides tonight

BTW i followed most of advice except for the part to stop the air can going orbital- it hit the garage roof and took me 20 minustes to find it - actually the missus found it when I gave up

that didnt work - refitted it and it compressed and didnt rebound - any suggestions - I dont think I will find the proper seal kit for this in the UK?

unless its a fox copy to the point that the seals are the same

this one has a 32mm shaft
