But this stem, with a cable hanger is not really necessary with the Manitou 1 :mrgreen:

Before buying this stem, I was ready for an ATAC. Both stem got cable hanger. Furtado used an ATAC with a cable hanger on her C26 for the Durango worlchampionship.
On other hand, I still got an Accutrax : I can change for fun

I'm trying to get my head round all the details in this build and I assume that the seat post fits inside the carbon fibre tube, if so does the seat clamp compress the carbon tube as well as the outer steel tube? If that makes sense.

Putting the modern CK SV on there is a misstep.

The difference between our C26, yours is a real old model and I agree you would need a no logo ChrisKing. On other hand, mine is a re-issue made with a 94 FRO frame (hard to know the year but there isn't such small FRO geometry. So the size is ever a missstep )
The headset is a Chris King and it's thread. But like the frame it's a re-issue and it's a poty that Chris-King doesn't still make the no-logo. This problem is only cosmetic.
I could used a no brand black 1"1/4 thread headset and nobody would find something against it. I prefered to keep the quality of a ChrisKing
(But the debate is open)
