Picked this up on Ebay for a grand total of £30. Was looking to thin down my collection but took a punt and won.
I had a 90 mile round trip to collect it from someone who was going to restore but didn't for whatever reason.
My main concerns were a rusted seattube and a stuck seatpost.
Stripped it down and surprisingly everything moved very easily.
The frame is now at 3d finishers in Coventry for blasting and powder coating.
I've binned off the brake levers, rear mech and eventually the saddle (still got it but not sure its worth the effort to renovate it).
Sorry about the pictures. WIll try and get them posted up a bit larger when I can.

What is it? I can't really make it out from the pictures. It probably doesn't help that I'm on my phone.

Never mind. I just looked at the title of the thread. Lol

Stripped the frame and forks and sent to powder coaters.

Saddle is unsurprisingly shot. I bought some leather and foam but decided that it was beyond my ability. New saddle purchased.
I have salvaged the headset, chainset, bottom bracket, Stem, Bars and seatpost alongwith the hubs and wheels.
I have replaced the front rim with a mavic 231cd and relaced the hub onto the new rim after stripping and regreasing the hub. Rear will be stripped and sorted.
Was going to go with DX shifters, brakes and Mechs but will probably end up with some XT parts.
I will add a couple of photo's when I can.

Built up the front wheel on a mavic 231 cd rim. Stripped, greased and rebuilt both hubs. Cleaned the cassette which surprisingly looks ok..
Then I rubbed down the stem and bars ready for a rattle can spray.

Major Problem!!! I've been trying to call the powder coater for the last few days and went to see them on Wednesday. No one there. I've called around and it turns out that they've shut down and not let me know. I've made a few enquiries and the frame and forks might be in another unit next door. The owner of the other place is looking to see if its there and will let me know later on.
