<flashbacks> I really wanted a Saracen in 1990, and thought I had convinced my parents to somehow stump up the cash for one for Christmas, we went bike shopping and it turns out I had misread the signs and my budget stretched to a yellow British Eagle in regulation 'you'll grow into it' size. Whilst I loved that bike because it was much better than the Raleigh Marauder it replaced I also strongly resented it because it was not the Saracen I really wanted (clearly I was a horrible little brat) and treated it appallingly - chucking it off bridges into rivers, juming off the back of it at speed, that kind of thing - but it never broke, in fact I don't even recall the wheels going out of true.
