88 Peugeot Surfer

Picked up this 1988 Peugeot Surfer that was in surprisingly good shape. Currently adding parts to make a gravel/ATB. I know it’s probably not worth much but the colour scheme just makes me happy. All original apart from the period Mr Motivator saddle!

I think it’s the original, but covered in Lycra!? Definitely a relic of the early 90’s putting a Brooks on it now.

Maybe around 88-90 - there was a period when manufacturers supplied bikes' saddles with a custom lycra cover iirc.
Usually long gone, they didn't last.
