Re: 80mm travel FOX Float forks V brake compatible

What's the axle to crown (race) measurement and steerer length on these please?

Re: 80mm travel FOX Float forks V brake compatible

As my missus insists that size is everything it appears that we're 4-8mm short for my frame which came out of the factory with geometry for a 456mm a-c fork. (2004 kona explosif)

Can you stretch them a tad?

well theyre probably measured a little modest. Theyre between 450-455mm. In the scheme of things though its just a few mil difference, it doesnt Really matter

Yeah I guess with the external headset n all it's probably negligible. Just need to measure headtube + headset and makes sure there's room for the stem....

Re: fox

Can these be increased in travel to 100mm? I cannot remember if this was possible! Very interested

Re:

I had a set of early float 100R and they came with a reduction spacer, if my memory serves me right. This decreased the travel to 80mm. Was wandering if this would be the opposite procedure if a pair of float 80 forks

They'd look awesome on my Wild Hare! And turn it into a real rider

Re: 80mm travel FOX Float forks V brake compatible

You can't increase a fox fork from 80 to 100 unless it started life at 100 and has been reduced I'm afraid.
