622 x 13 - DIN(?)

Hello

I have tried searching for the answer but I'm not having much luck, probably my fault.

I have a ALESA 700c 622 x 13 - DIN rear wheel I wish to use for my single speed freewheel bicycle.

1. What does DIN mean?
2. What size would you recommend for a road tyre please?

A chart or any advice would be wellcome.

DIN is an old Std originating from Germany iirc.
your rim is for 700c tyres from 18 <25 widths though a 28 would probaly be ok.

DIN stands for "Deutsches Institut für Normung". It's like BS, ANSI, JIS etc. They all contibute to ISO standards.
