Sorted 26” MTB forks with V brake option and long steerer (at least 24cm/9.5”) ideally Rockshox, Exotic, Bomber, Manitou

Needs the Vbrake option and long steerer (24cm) but happy to consider anything really as it’ll be going on a bike I plan to ride rather than put on the wall.
However, it’s a 20” 97 GT Zaskar so Rockshox would be great but something half decent from another good brand would be fine too and I’d even consider rigid forks, such as Exotic (alloy or carbon) and White Rock Solid, etc if they have V brake mounts.

Found some Fox Talas Rs from 2003 with vbrake bosses for £40 with a 24.5cm steerer

Great price for those forks. I had some and needed spares but no one did them, not even fox. They did offer new option but at £200, more than fork was worth. Look after them.

If you wanted to upgrade the damping there's a pair of rlt on eBay for not much money due to worn stanchion. I was contemating buying them myself but not sure if the internals will work with a vanilla CSU.
