25" (XL ) road bike for commuting - North London

Anyone have a big bike gathering dust ? Condition not important as long as it rolls in a straight line but would prefer a whole bike as sadly no workspace to strip anything down . Prefer steel frames and downtube shifters but that's because I'm old and I don't understand the new technology. I don't need a rack mount but probably do need mudguard fittings . Budget up to £300 ?

Probably going to sell my commuter soon. No name on the frame but 531 sticker at present run as 1x9, not to be cool but the LH shifter isn't holding. Will need a front wheel as I am keeping my dynamo set up. Mix of tiagra STIs, 105 crank & ultegra rear mech. Mudguards via p clips. Anti theft rusty spots included.

That sounds like an Aladdins Cave of a bike and would have been ideal for my purposes but board member Brabande has found me a great looking Gazelle Mondial in Holland so I'm going with that .

what's your dynamo set up ?
