Offered for sale is our old diesel Doblo.
218,000 miles
4 months MOT
6 months tax (end of Feb)
Needs:
exhaust back box (around £65 or less)
exhaust manifold (£30 off ebay) - this accounts for the whistling turbo. Not vanes bouncing off the turbo house as first thought.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Doblo-1- ... 27e556b47b
ignition barrel (£28 for a generic Punto/ Alfa/ Fiat fit) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-BRAVO-BR ... 3f38a90a9a
It has a squeaky belt tensioner - am not real sure as to what it is, some say cambelt, others say alternator.
Its had new wishbones (common fault), new 'long' drive shaft (common fault)
Driver's door window is sealed as the runners are bust - would need a new door and window mech if you want a working window. Not an MOT failure.
It has 5 good tyres. I have been doing around 700 miles a week in it returning 60+ mpg.
It has bumps and scrapes as its been used for events and shows over the years.
No engine warning lights.
Its a shed on wheels. Its a tupperware box on wheels. Its a plastic lunchbox on wheels.
It has been absurdly reliable with any 'breakdowns' easy fixes by the AA. Its always been kept clean and tidy - no nasty stains. Interior is good but obviously the driver's seat is wearing.
Cambelt is due in about 20,000 miles.
The exhaust fell off about 3 weeks before we were due to replace the Doblo with another car anyway so now it is surplus.
£350 as a 'spare/ repairs'
Its driveable as is as long as you are insured - which is cheap in itself.
it will be going ebay - maybe...
***And its sold!***
