2000 kona blast + carrera fury = an Orange P7

Decided to try and cobble a hardtail together from two cheap bikes bought off eBay. First is a 2000 kona blast whilst the second is a carrera fury with Z1 bombers and full deore xt.
Have some parts already and idea is to combine best bits off both bikes to make something to throw about.
Mega tight budget so will flog on bits I don't use to pay for bits I need and recoup some cash.
It's not going to be a showstopper build but would be good to get some advice or ideas

strip the carrera and sell everything. The Z1's are nice but now 20 years old and getting service parts is tough. Use the profits to buy some decent wheels and forks for the kona

Kona now stripped to a bare frame a few more war wounds than I thought but have ruled out paint or powder coating and will build it back up as is after a clean up.

Busy removing components from carrera now and will do a stock take to see which bits will get reused, which bits will be solids and what gets binned!

Using off the Kona - Frame
Using off the Fury - STX RC Front mech (shim sourced gratis from LBS), deore XT rear mech, Z1 forks, shifters/ levers, mavic 217 wheelset on deore hubs, deore M530 chainset, deore XT v-brakes, FSA pig headset, QR skewers
Parts bin - Spoon black on black saddle, M520 spd pedals
Hopefully sourced second hand - seatpost, stem, bars
New - Cables prorace kit £4 (grey outers?), seat clamp £1 both on sale from Ribble
Still needed - Tyres, grips

What diameter of handlebar are you wanting to run? I have a couple of handlebars and possibly stems kicking around in both 25.4mm and 31.8mm that might be of interest to you?
