1998 Yeti ARC

Hi everyone, I’m new here so sorry if there is a thread for this post I am posting.

I purchased a YETI ARC last night and the seller said it’s a 1998 but after doing some research I’m convinced it’s a 1996. Is there any particular way to tell the difference on YETI frames? I couldn’t find a serial number or any number for that matter on the framing. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Nick

I'd say earlier than 98, 98m didnt' have the integrated seat collar, or that style of seat cluster. On the assumption the pain is origianl, I'd say 1996.

Re:

Cool, great score that ..!

The s/n can probably be found on the inside of the non-drive side rear dropout, but is most likely covered by paint/coat.

What are your plans with it?

Re:

Thanks for the info guys.

Honestly I’m thinking about selling it. I have a lot of project bikes right now, and to build this one I’d want it to be done properly. But that makes this an expensive project that I just can’t dip into right now.

Re:

Yea it came complete. It had some beater Vuelta wheels on it. Took those off for another build. They weren’t worthy of the Yeti.

Going to sell because I could use the money right now.

Re:

You just have some very nice projects on the go to be thinking of selling this on.

Those chainstay /seatstays are beautifully simple and succinct.

Looks like it's already doing very well anyway but GLWS!
