Re: 1996 Saracen Kili, small update, 3rd October

Nice colour but can't find any without the lock-ons ..

Re:

Hi all, ;)

Put some grips on today, just to see if I can get used to the colour being lighter than the frame. Which is really dark blue. If I can, I'll cut them down and put the bar ends on. I'd really like dark blue, but if I can't find anything suitable, I may have to go green
Also got the bottle cage on, Yay! Or summat.

Don't want to do more assembly for a week, when I'll polish up the paint on the back end.
The forks are growing on me. Initially I thought they seemed massively oversized compared to the frame.

My old favourite is ....looking very good indeed. A real pleasure to see it being pampered. Nice work.

Re:

Thanks Dave, but it's just a bottle cage ! ;)
You wait 'til the brakes and gears go on! Black cables?

Looking good buddy :)

Ta muchly mister L ;)

Fells pretty light too, can't imagine the chain, mechs and brakes adding too much weight.

Nothing a good clear out couldn't compensate for!

Grips clash I'm afraid. Black if you can't get the right blue.

And the cage? Talk me through it.

And the seat tube stripes are upside down.

And the yellow seat detracts from the frame.

Other than that and the tyres it's lovely. ;)
