Uh, oh! Here we go again

Picked this up in the week ,

Not sure what tubing it is, but it has nice drop outs,

Thankfully the nasty headtube badge came off easily, and the paint was virtually intact underneath,

I know the forks aren't original, but may stick with them.

So, first things first, it will need a de-grease, wash and t-cut. ;)

Re: 1996 ? Saracen Kili

I know that there were a few of these about (sometimes sold with the implication that "Ritcheys"), but the head badge identifies it as one (I had and now have again another!) of mine. Probably the highest mileage bike I've ever had. Had a number of incarnations, but with ridiculously expensive Nitto racks front and rear it was a lovely all day bike!

Enjoy!

Re:

Does that mean the headbadge I took off was original? ! Oh bugger! Looked like the sort of thing a kid would stick on
Nice bike, are the forks original Dave?

Heres how I built mine (it was too small)

Re:

Ooooh, I like that Mr G-F

I'd like to put cantis on mine, does the front cable go through the stem? And what did you do for the back one? To get the cable central. Is there a guide of some sort?

Mike

Edit: Just seen picture in larger scale. Can see the front set up better now

Mine is ahead, so will have to either,

A) get a clamp on hanger, but will look a bit crap, or,

B) get the forks threaded, then I can use the white Ritchey quill stem I have, with a built in hanger

Hmmmmmm . . . .
