hi guys

I'm happy to introduce my new old bike, my Grail (one of my Grails ).
It was the seller's father's bike, with which he raced. So the bike has lived: scratches, worn parts that have been replaced. The stock rigid fork was replaced with a Judy (and has not been kept)...
But I don't care, the bike is not far from my house, cheap, I'm already in love when I discover the ad

The project is not to redo everything, just clean, beautify, and enjoy !

First step: the fork
I had bought a Manitou for the Parkpre, it will be perfect (I have other plans for the Parkpre, but we will see that another time).
A small service will be necessary, with the replacement of the elastomers

then this masterpiece :

Thats a nice project you have on your hands.
The 1996/7 high end marins were a cleaner looking bike with v brakes and suspension-friendly geometry.
Good start with the forks and chainset!

Great project. My Team Marin is my favorite XC bike to ride. Yours is off to a great start. Does the fork choice indicate a switch back to cantilevers?
