Ok chappers and chappettes what we have here is a lovely condition, vintage 1995 Proflex Animal.... err no sorry it was a basket case. Always a sucker for a lost cause I saved this poor beast from the knackers yard some months ago.

How I got it

Painted it last Friday, sent the swingarm and forks/stem to the polishers and awaiting some new decals from Gil, fitted the headset today and lashed on an Easton decal i had kicking around, not sure whether it will stay yet.

Just waiting on bits now, the damn volcano has buggered me haha

Nice rebuild! Looking the part now
I might go for a ProFlex for my next project, they were on my want list back in the day. Never ridden one though, what are they like?

Now that is absolutely stunning

The AT-4's really compliment the build, which I'm very pleased about, cos I know you paid over the odds

O/T - the Prelude's not too shabby either

Cheers Steve, thanks to you again for putting me on to them, i had been looking for months for a pair Ii paid over the odds in reason but thats retrobiking for ya! Once they're taped up with the Ritchey blue cork tape i got they will look spot on. I'd forgotten how narrow they were! Gil did a great job with the decals as well. I applied the GLS ones for the swing arm, but pulled them off as I felt it looked better without. The rest of my stuff is on backorder from CRC, can't wait to get the XTR shifters, they look so beautifully made!

Had to spend a bit on tools as well, but i guess its a one off and in relation to the price I pay for my tools for work, peanuts really. Its a shame Snap-On don't do bike tools as I'd be all over them like a dog with a hot chip!

Cheers for the comment about the Prelude, shes had a few dings this year due to cretins and a crazy hailstorm we had a few months ago I'll fix her up when I clear the backlog in work, 50,000 cars hail damaged during the storms!

One more shot of the car then!

I'm not too keen on the handlebar, but apart from that it looks a stunning bike. The white main frame really suits it.

Hey I thought I had already posted a comment here but it would appear not. I saw a picture in the neo retro rides topic and it looks great, the polished alu parts turned out very nice! Almost a shame you didn't polish the entire frame up ;) I hope the mirror finish doesn't wear off too quickly!
I also wanted to comment on the Prelude, are those the Mugen aero headlight covers?

aye lad, all genuine Mugen mate, M7 wheels, spoiler and front bumper. took an age to find it all. Some muppet reversed into my bumper a couple of months back, luckily the lenses survived and just copped a nice tow ball sized hole underneath one of them!
