1995 Orange Vit T2 19" complete bike ** SOLD **

gs'er

Dirt Disciple
I bought this new in 1995 (from 2XS in West Wittering) but would now like to sell it.
Up until last year was my only bike but wasn't ridden for many years after purchase (house, family etc took priority). When I returned to riding a few years ago I replaced most parts with quality modern equivalents (spent about £1K on new bits). However also have most of the original (LX) parts to go with it.
So spec of bike:
19" Orange Vit T2 frame in pristine condition with all original decals
1" Pace RC35 elastomer forks with in very very good condition (new seals, elastomers, all bolts recently).
XT Hollowtech chainset
XTR rear mech
XT 9 speed 2-way release shifters
XT V brakes
XTR V brake lever
Mavic CrossTrail wheels (rim brake version)
USE Alien carbon seat post
Selle Italia SLR 135gm saddle
Titanium stem (both the silly long one in the photo and the original shorter Orange one which is now back on bike)
Replaced XT 1" threaded headset and a 'new in box' spare
Bars are original Orange.
(pedals gone onto new bike)

I'm asking £1000 for the complete bike and all spares that fit it (original LX combo levers/shifter, canti brakes etc).

Obviously happy for potential buyers to view (maybe even ride) it. Based in Petersfield, Hampshire.

Vit T

Hi mate,

I'd buy this but can't justify having 4 bikes....

Would you p/x for a Pace RC200 with a load of cash ontop ?
(I can even throw in a P7 frame & forks aswell)

Neil

Yummy! That's one of my dream bikes! How does the ride compare to similar era Clockwork / C16r? Is it plush, or just noodly?

Re

I'd say neither. power transfer is incredibly direct (my new bike is a Scott Spark Ltd and the Orange probably accelerates better). Haven't ridden a steel or alu bike for years so guess the titanium just takes away some of the harshness.

My mate has been looking for one of these for an age.

Alas he left last night for a weeks business in poland, can i dibs this until he gets back to me. I've sent him a text to le him know.
hopefully wont be long with a reply.

Cheers

D ;)

very nice - always wanted one of these back in the day - it was my "built on paper" bike and I got it down stupidly light...

Re:

I've had a couple PMs very interested and basically I'll let it go to the first person who commits to the price and collecting it.

If anyone wants to speak to me about it then PM me and I'll send my phone number.

Note these photos were taken in 2007, bike now doesn't have those silly Pace carbon frame protectors and now has Conti Mountain Kings on it but other than that everything looks identical. I'll be keeping the CatEye computer.

If only this was a 17", oh and I had a grand to spend on another bike. ;)

I've got to say and it's quite sad to admit, but my only regret is selling my Vit T. Can you not afford to keep it?
