i'd lose the m970 shifter and go with something else, too modern. stick it on the Nukeproof, i find Ti frames take modern kit much nicer.

True, I agree, but what would you recommend? I had a hard time finding a shifter go well on that bar with the levers, only thing I can think of would be grafton clamps with m900 pods but they are way too pricy =)

too pricey??? sometimes you just have to take the hit to get it just right. you're in the big league now! plus i'm sure your slush fund is well padded from your numerous en masse buy/sell activity.

you can also go with less expensive perches available. but if not then only other suggestion is to go with either thumbs, or gripshifts, which i've done myself.

But those bars look so good with the silver syncros... I really like that actually and think it would look good with the newer XTR stuff. you must have some ti posts kicking around you could throw in there...

Thanks! I decided to put the experience on hold for now... I'll come back to it later so all the parts on it are up for use... Ti post? You mean ti Syncros seat post? I want to go with black to match the black syncros stem I'm going to use, so I'm on the hunt for a black Syncros 27x425 =)

Ok, so made some progress on decisions... Here's the potential group... I was going to go with M900 shifter/levers but the avid ultimates and newer XTR's look so slick on that Race Face bar

Everyone cross your fingers... it's 6mm too short :shock: I think i can face off a little and work my magic... :?

Update... had to face 5mm off to get the fork to work... but it's in!! (2mm off fork crown and 3mm off head tube)

They are out there dude, I've had two in the past year, one 27.0 and one 27.2 of which someone had cut down to 300mm aaarrrgghhh!
