Lovely brakes :)

Yeah, on that frame? Might as well put on an A2Z adapter and some junkie discs while you're at it.

Meaning? :?

It's a 93-94 canti era frame that canti's work just fine on. Isn't that how they spec'd and sold the bike in the first place? If I recall the guy that bought that exact frame from me in the first place was demanding that the canti's come with the frame :D :D :D

Re: Re:

Cantis were still all the range back then but vs are undeniably better brakes, after all if it was a 96 or 97 frame then it would of come with v brakes as standard. I ran cantis on my zaskar for 4 months and I didn't like them much, they're harder to set up and not as strong. If I have got space on the steerer for a hanger it would have to be one with a curved noodle, in which case I'd have a long cable awkwardly routed around the front end. Sure I'm a fan of originality but v brakes are a far more convenient option

Sean

Re:

So are you regretting your choice of fork yet? I still have a plush Manitou III if you want to go back that route.

Like the fork!

My 96 Zaskar seems to be routed for canti's rather than v-brakes. I've fitted it with v-brakes, but canti's seem to be the natural choice for it.
