Ride it rigid for a while too - you might be surprised at how little you actually *need* a bouncy fork, and how often the instant reactions of a rigid will get you out of trouble

Thanks everyone for all your advice and gentle prodding.
I've decided i will fix both up and give the Rocky Mountain a shot on the rigid forks. Might be a few weeks as the Kona requires a few more pieces. Most notably half of one side of the rapid fire shifters. I'm guessing I will just need to replace the whole thing. I got to wrap my head around the million and one different models that seem to exist now.
Also managed to find the serial number, though not sure what additional info that gives me. T9108 0054
If and when I do decide to sell, I will be sure to let everyone who has expressed interest on here and through pm know.

RockiMtn - Thanks of the tip about the handlebars being on backwards. I will have to fix that right away. Or maybe search out a Syncros replacement.
Cyclotoine - I use to ride mostly xc, single track. Nothing too crazy but have been known to go on giant allay rides that take us in a straight line through whatever terrain gets in the way. So many great memories. I plan to get back in to much of the same, though perhaps some easy downhill as a lot of friends are in to that these days.
I currently live in Chilliwack, an hour east of Vancouver. Plan to move back to Cranbrook or somewhere else in the East Kootenays in the hopefully not too distant future though.
As for why only one bike? this is why.
I have to fit all 4 bikes in there (2 adult, 2 kids). If I lock them on the deck they will get stolen (#@!* bastards) so I had to build a shed to store them in. Also, no job since December so a 2nd bike at the moment would be a very hard sell with wifey.
Someday though.

Was hoping you guys could give me some advice on what this beauty would actually be worth and how much is original. By the paint scheme I'm pretty sure it's a 1992, but I've read on other posts that the 1991's came with the Syncros Powerlie forks. Most i've seen are black, where these are white. The frame is scratched and chipped, but structurally its sound. No dents or cracks that I can see.
Most of the components seem to be original and in good working order. There is a pin missing from the break levers (see photo) that I'm unsure a replacement part can be found. I'm not sure what the bars are, they look like generic black bars with a bit of corrosion. The seat post is black and generic too.
I'm going to tune and lube it up in the coming week(s) and see how she performs. Going to be a hard decision whether to sell or keep it instead of another one I picked up from a bike auction a few years ago—a 2001 Kona Muni-Mula.
