1992 Roberts Black Leopard

Nitto dirt drop stem, bars and seatpost. Though it s very tempting to go w/ Steve Potts Soma reissue of the original drop bar. It´s 31.8 so it will need the nitto w/ removable face plate. I would forget the wtb shifter hangers since they are scarce and very, very expensive and just throw a pair of old suntour bar cons there. Man... that build will have my attention. Awesome.

This bike is begging for a suede turbo

You know I’ve got one if you want to trade?…

But roberts to look good with turbos like that.

Looks comfy, but not as good

Riding a turbo on my cannondale. it’s like riding a horse (not comfy at all but you would get used to it)

I remember this one, Very nice purchase.

As you say, really difficult to pin a label on a frame that comes from a custom builder, mine was described as a white spider type bike but its clearly not a race frame, very different from yours in geo with its high bottom bracket but pinned as a snow leopard from 87, strangely the 88 price list doesnt list the black leopard so it must have had a second chance in 92 as it states the black leopard as the predecessor.
I went with straight bars on mine as I hate drop bars and theyre a bit hurty on my hands, my theory has always been if the downtube doesnt have cable stops welded on... its a mountain bike.

Interested to see the new paint sir..... did you pick a nice colour?

Signing up with interest and excitement...

Have never and will never tell the misses what anything on any of my bikes cost or is worth!

Rookie error!
