Always interested me as to how many were produced in '92 and why Ritchey Logic top quality frame.

I had heard Orange had a small number batch made in a different factory as Prestige was unavailabe.

How many can we find?

Tange Prestige with different profiles seat tube at BB is ovalised .....welding looks neater too.

Just had a thought Calum, I wonder if the 91 Prestige I sold you is a Ritchey frame? Doesn't have a tube decal from what I remember but the rest of the decals are the same. :?

Hi ed, you sold me two bikes, a clockwork 92, and a black ?89 clockwork, but with Prestige style decals.. no specific tubing decal. I assume this is the one your on about.

Yes had a closer inspection of the 91 prestige.. same decals... minus a tube decals.. so very likely to have been Ritchey logic one.. well spotted!
Might have to get a decal now :facepalm:

Plus my other Prestige 91 had the regular Tange tubed decal, and was different in the geometry and decal application.

Yes Tange manufactured the ritchey logic stuff.

The one thing about that decal is it is saying they didn't use the prestige tubing but the standard Tange tubing (like the clockwork but maybe a higher level than the infinity)
It is missing Prestige in a box under the logo.

Does anyone else who has these early 1992 models (probably late 1991 made) have a picture.

It should look like below (MatBH5 your iirc, so just think prestige is torn off?)


Memory serves me right, that a bonafide bought in first few month of 1992 Orange Prestige taken by the original owner, not a repro decal. Even though the paint can be seen through it.

Yes that’s mine, bought early 1992 (as I later cycled to gcse exams on it, Summer 1992). Original paint, original decal.
With xcComp MD, dia compe brakes, stalk stem (mine had no hanger), Hot Rod bars, and an Orange seatpost which slipped and was replace free by an xcPro one and an x-lite seatbolt.
I think on the ebay one that the Prestige bit of the decal has been torn off.
