Some of you have already assisted me with this build. Most of the queries were contained in this thread

After spending the last couple of months gathering parts, thought I'd have a morning in the Man Cave and start building it up. Consequently, also thought I'd better start a proper build thread.
Frame: Orange Aluminium O 1992 (I think?)
Fork: Manitou Answer (Off Sinnett177)
Headset: Unknown OEM
Stem: ICON (Off Marin Man...Karma too! Thanks, they look good)
Handlebar: TranX alloy (Old one I had knocking around)
Grips: Ritchey Trugrip WCS Ergo
Barends:
Brakes: Tektro Canti's (Old ones I had knocking around)
Brake Pads:
Brake Cables: Unknown (Off Sithlord, and donuts and fancy green crimps- nice!)
Cantilever cable hangers:
Brake Levers: Purple Tektro (temporary) Now Shimano MT63
Shifters: Shimano XT Thumbies (Off Ebay)
Front Derailleur: Shimano XT FD-M736
Rear Derailleur: Shimano XT RD-M732
Derailleur Cables: Unknown (Off Sithlord, and donuts and fancy green crimps)
Cassette: Sram PG730 12T-32T (From CRC)
Chain: Sram PC870
Cranks: Shimano FC-M569 (Off Jamabikes)
Crank Bolts:
Chainrings:
Chainring bolts: Shiney green ones (Off ishaw)
Bottom Bracket: OEM
Pedals: Suntour (temporary)
Hub Skewers: Cheapo Decathlon
Rims: Ambrosia CC22 (Off ishaw)
Hubs: Shimano DX FH-M650 (Off ishaw)
Nipples: OOOOHHHH MATRON!!
Spokes: Stainless DB
Tyres: Maxxis C-1160 (Buried in the Man cave circa 1995?) Now Trak Grippa
Tubes: Cheapo Decathlon
Saddle: Flite
Seatpost: USE post polished
Seatpost Binder: Hope (Shiney Green off ishaw)
Weight: 27lbs
Built it up this morning with ali braided cable outers (Off the Bay)
Not sure which side the rear brake outer should have gone round the seat post. Tried both, left seem to be smoother.
The green anno theme was following the green anno rims I purchased from ishaw (Nice wheels, cheers mate). I think it looks cool, bit more original than the more common reds and purples etc.
The stem was from Marin Man (Cheers mate!) and looks the part. You'll notice from the photo the steerer is a little too long. I didn't want to cut it and lose height as the bike will probably be a little on the small size for me, so going to try and source some kind of spacer. (Any ideas? single speed cassette spacer maybe?)
Any way this is roughly where I'm up to:
Still to be fitted- front mech and I'm working on a set of Wildgrippers, only got one at the moment. The old Maxxis tyres were in the loft of the man cave. They came off my wife's bike in the mid 90's when they were swapped for road type tyres.
The purple brake levers are temporary until I get MT62 or 63's.
Saddle and seatpost and grips also required. I'm thinking of an orange saddle and grips. (Orange Charge bucket saddle from Wiggle maybe)
Thoughts on the saddle and grips?
Chain and cassette are on the way from CRC.
