1991 Slingshot Frame + Fork NOS

I got this set only last week, but realized, i should do my homework first (=finish my other builts) before adding another task, hence i am offering it again.

The set is in stunning condition. It had hung in a bikestore for ages where it was picked up by the previous owner at some point, but it ended as a wall hanger and hasn't seen a built until today. It has a few minor storage marks and one of the letters on the top tube is damaged, but that's about the use the frame has seen. The neon color is a fresh as when it was produced - you better wear sunglasses when coming closer!

Headset size: 1" (i can put a good, but used 1" XT Headset in the package)
Spacing: 100/135mm (Front/Back)
Seat Tube; 51cm (c-c)
Top Tube: 60cm (c-c)

Price: 750,- including tracked shipment to European mainland (islands at extra charge). It includes frame, fork + used XT headset.

As i do look for a 19" Yeti Ultimate frame, this would be the only possible trade option.

Stunning! If I didn't have another build ongoing right now I'd be considering this frame. A question about this type of frame - how does its unusual design translate into ride characteristics?

Well, i'd love to answer you, but as i have not ridden one yet, i can't tell.

According to Mombat "the idea is to use the spring and cable system to return the energy lost during the pedal stroke. All of the energy is returned since there are no frictional or damping losses in the spring system."

Best regards

Moritz

Sling boom tube, very nice! as sling's fan, an up for you. Very fun to ride!
Nice True Temper OX ultraII steel tubes (if my memory is right)

love it. looks to big for me. plus if i did ever want to own one, think i'd be after the earlier dual cable version. not know why, but the dual cable looks even more cool to me.

free bump! ;)

damn, if it would be a bit smaller... :( Thats really nice frameset Moritz, good luck!
