1991 Rocky Mountain Titanium...... Updated PICS

Re:

Stunning find, that frame! Now just add a Powerlite fork, keep the syncros steerer and seatpost, change the steerer for a ti syncros, swap the headset for something else and either go M735 or XC Pro on it :)

Just joking, congrats on this one, I'm just jealous :-D

Re:

Brodie rock rooster was a big improvement over stock,,I recently found a cool one in the weeds (literally),,Rooster, with a booster, and a cam for the front brake..Paul did like stiff.

That stem is original to the bike though ;-)

Just stay Quill, ahead wasn't out till the year after and the look right on the bike. I don't know why everyone wants to jump to a-head when the threaded is fine.

I just fitted a nice Mavic to my Stratos and used that same stem you have (of my altitude originally). Though I have a Ti quill bolt fitted from bitd.

That look to be some sort if high end one fitted with its locking ( I could check I guess), but I would be looking for M901 headset as the colour should blend in and is low in stack so should certainly fit.

I like the choice of build, but I don't like the CNC brake stuff or Pauls stuff, but if you do then why not.

If you did change the stem though, the RaceFace Ti-Beam...

Thanks!

If I stay quill I'll swap in an XTR M900 headset

If I go ahead I'll follow my usual theme and go CK...

Only thing at the moment is the stem... I want a no-noodle stem since the fork has the hanger on it... I want the bike to have a full Ti theme... so the stem can't be black... so it's a no-go for black syncros...

Thanks! after putting the powerlite on my 1990 blizzard (and maybe even my 1992 blizzard) I will have overloaded Powerlites in my collection... time for a change

I like to mix it up and I don't have any Mag's yet so this is a perfect chance to use one =)

Damn!! that's a nice find!!!

I'll be putting a Brodie rooster on the front and a booster on the rear... not sure about doubling it up on the front though... that's a bit too busy for my taste

So... I was thinking today...

Here's my decision... What should I do? (remember, I want an all Ti colour build and will be painting the fork legs Ti)

a. Titanium Quill stem / m900 headset
b. Quill adapter w/ Race Face Ti I-Beam / m900 headset
c. lengthen the steer to go threadless w/ Race Face Ti I-Beam / CK headset

Suggestions??

thanks

An all Ti colour build will be boring...

Really? I think it would be awesome,,, I'm sure this picture has been floating around... IOM this one looks really cool and I would like mine to look simmilar to it (one of my Unicirns)

I put the crankset together for starters....

There is a matching RealSeal Pewter headset you might consider.

And yes, Pewter and Ti is a great colour scheme.

Thx! But pewter is something I want to avoid as I find it has a bit of a purple hue... This crank is gun metal and up close quite different for pewter. There is a gun metal RF headset out there too... There is one in the for sale section but more than I want to spend on a RF.
