Retro Newbie
I've owned this one from new. It's been in regular use over the last 19 years, most recently as a road bike.

A few of the original parts remain:
- Deore DX cranks
- Deore DX inner front chainring (I hardly ever use it)
- Deore DX front derraileur
- seatpost

I have kept some of the removed parts:
- handlebars (wider Easton EA 30 risers fitted - personal preference)
- Deore DX outer front chainring (moderately worn)
- saddle (leather worn through but foam in good condition). I may get it re-covered at some point

The original wheels, tyres, brakes, drivetrain were binned as they wore out over a decade and a half ago.

I've just got it back following (another) full mechanical refurb. Spec is as follows:
- new wheels (Mavic XC 317, XT M770 hubs, DT Competition spokes)
- new middle and outer chainrings (Middleburn Slickshift Hardcoat 36t, 46t). The colour of these looks great with the zoldite (?) frame paint
- new cassette (Shimano HG 50 12-2:cool:
- new chain (Shimano HG 70)
- new pedals (Wellgo 939) with toeclip and strap
- new BB (Shimano)
- new headset bearings (Ritchey Logic)
- deore V-brakes with XT levers (been on a few years)
- XT shifters (been on a few years)
- XT rear mech (M750 I think)
- new SDG Bel Air RT
- Continental City Contact 2.1 tyres
- orange Maxxis valve caps (I think they look good with the orange forks etc)

Nice, the paint looks remarkably good for its age...but i guess that's what Marin wanted with the Zolatone 2000....
