Several people here have followed the progress on my 86 Ritchey Ultra project and know that I found this bike on fb for $25. I thought it would be a good bike to fix up and sell. It turns out it was even better. The bike was a time capsule. It had the original Ritchey Megabite tires and original Ritchey grips that will go on my Ultra. The Bridgestone seems to have been lightly ridden in the 90's before being placed in a garage for well over 20 years. It was covered in decades worth of dust, grime and spider webs but it was all there and all original. I took it down to the frame, cleaned every part and rebuilt it with new grease, new cables, new grips and lightly used modern tires. It looks like it could have rolled out of the bike shop a month ago rather than 34 years ago. It isn't a NOS MB-1 or anything like that but still, I really like it.
