We do occasionally sell duplicate bikes or a less original/more common bikes. Since the MOMBAT has no way of raising money (no admittance fees or ??) I try to make it as revenue-neutral as possible and sell enough stuff to pay for acquisitions. As many of you know, the small bike retail gig isn't a lucrative business and we can't just go out a buy a bunch of stuff to hang on the walls. Out of approximately 375 bikes at the MOMBAT, less than 10 are on "semi-permanent loan". The rest have been purchased. So, the bikes range from definitely not for sale to priced and listed on the web site. Just a hint though, when someone comes into the shop and asked about a bike that isn't for sale and says "everything has a price", they are going home empty handed!

Now that is what I call a mountain bike, those colours are a work of art I would say more on the Cinelli colour ways than the MBK's but this is in a league all of own, the best bike I have seen in long time.

When we got it, there was a junk seat and post on it for some reason. It also wore slicks that were likely original to the bike (based on condition). Everything else appears to be original to the bike so I would leave it. Would be nice to get a nice condition XT post and a black Turbo. As we find better parts, we are constantly doing slight upgrades to the bikes but usually don't take new photos.

xt post and turbo would make this bike even better... the shape of the toptube is soooo cool!
personally, I just love thumbies. But I completely understand you like to keep it as original as possible. And if you have a lot of bikes, it's nice to have some variation in parts
