1989 Marin Bear Valley

O learned ones!

I have acquired a 1989 Marin Bear Valley. The main drivetrain kit is original, Mountain LX Chainset and Front mech, but it has a 200GS rear mech. Is this original or would it have had a Mountain LX or similar?

Black frame, gold decals, good working order.

Any ideas?

When we talk LX, I assume that you mean Mountain LX. LX didn't emerge from the shimano stable until the early 90s??

Tibolrider, is your rear mech a plain LX or the Mountain LX like the crankset and front mech? I couldn't see detail on your picture.
