At the start of the year I picked up this very nicely spec'ed Raleigh 531 Training bike. Mostly Sachs New Success with some Campagnolo Record.
It had been left out to rot in the elements. After failing to sell it (https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads...olo-iscaselle-giro-ditalia-saddle-etc.477391/) I decided to try and make use of it myself. Initially as a fixed gear town bike, which was comfy.
However the corrosion in the top tube really needed better treatment so I eventually opted for a powder coat. I've changed the saddle, but otherwise all original components.
It's a pity to lose the original paint, but this way the frame lives for many more years. It's been good fun so far
