Sold 1987/88 Raleigh Maverick £50

I'm just low-key amazed at what a £100 gets you in UK 😢. I should've gotten onto this bandwagon before moving out. GLWS, it's an awesome ride.

It's priced to sell. Lots of bikes on eBay and other sites are dreamers prices and appear week after week, but they give the false impression of what stuff is worth. Market is el crappo at the moment. :(

You can always rely on RetroBike for sensibly priced bike stuff

Thats lovely, I had a slightly later Maverick and it was such a nice ride. Sadly this one is waaay to big for me, have a free bump.

@nstarmore as you may be aware these BIG old bikes aren't actually that big...

I raced (XC) and rode 16" bikes throughout the 90s (I'm 5' 7") however last year I acquired a 1988 22.5" Specialized Hardrock for the parts, but I've ended up keeping it as a complete bike as with the saddle low down it is amazing to ride vs. 90s machines and is gives a beautiful smooth ride. I would never have thought I'd be riding a 22.5" bike, but it works!

I totally agree with @27motorhead people forget that bitd, those bikes often only had a few inch of post out the tube. Your supposed to ride them close to the cross bar like the road bikes they were based on.

No norba 2 foot of post and crippling geometry here!

Lovely bike, great price....market must have basically collapsed in the last few weeks for that not to be gone like all those recent TVs looted from Rumbelows.
