I was digging around my storage unit the other day and found some old film of my very first mountain bike. It was called the Worldrider Yak from the late 1980's, a local New Zealand brand which at the time was pretty popular and affordable. The frame was high tensile steel, cyclocross type cantilevers, steel rims, bmx type stem and bars and 15 speed Shimano SIS gearing!!! Funny how the specs are akin to cheapo department store bikes now. Used it for touring, general mucking around but it's dirt credentials was pretty sketchy but still didn't stop one of my cycling buddies in the pics from doing monster wheelies (unfortunately I was crap at doing stunts back then!). Funny brings back the memories when stonewashed jeans and naff cycling tights were all the rage!!. Apologize for the dodgy quality film scans.
