I remember my friend getting a new Piranha BMX, and as I was the "best" rider in the street I was tasked with being the first to take it on its maiden flight!!!

Several planks of wood, a pile of bricks and 12 of the local kids laying side by side in the road later...we were ready..!!

Nice long run up.......mid flight...front wheel falls off!!!!!!

I just remember the argument between my parents and his.....something along the lines of."LBS should have done the front nuts up tighter"....front door slams!!

My pals and I had a communal Raleigh Chopper with flat bars.
We got an old silver cross pram body minus the wheels , packed it full of dry cut grass in the local park , set it on fire and took turns jumping over it on the Chopper. Mental but fun.
