Are the letters stuck on or cut in to the the arms?

As far as I'm aware, non of these were engraved as the arms are thin steel tubing. They all had decals/stickers.

The ones with decals are certainly not fake, I worked in bike shops when I was younger and worked as a mechanic but I've never seen an engraved set. Hundreds of sets with decals though and we used to receive them from syncros like that!

I believe the engraved ones are a totally different model,there's nothing wrong with these there gen.
And if I had the money I would buy them.

SORRY I made a mistake, I'll edit my post. there are defiantly some that are engraved that look the same.

If i remember correctly, Defiant had some engraved ones. They weren't original as a local jeweller had done this.

The syncros cranks that are engraved are the forged ones.

That's correct

They're at Jeroen's place now, the only set I've ever seen that were engraved and indeed done by a Dutch jeweller.
