12mm rear axle

Need one for a new project but not sure what to go for, costs vary hugely too.

Prefer the Allen key style to keep it clean looking at the back, anyone got any recommendations that are good, safe and not too ££?

Also looking at a conversion for an existing set of wheels (el-guappo), but on one dont seem to stock the kit I need currently. Anyone know of other kits will fit/work?

I could build a new set of wheels around hope pro2 evo, but if I can get my current wheels converted, will be cheaper and easier, not to mention quicker.

You first need to determine the overall length, thread length and thread pitch you need. Sadly, there's no standard size for 12mm thru axles. :roll:

I don't think it's worth spending money to get something bling-y, especially with the Allen Key type, as very little shows once fitted.

Thanks. On one dont and wont stock the end caps I need. Have said that the stans dura-sync hubs are the same (but more £), so the hunt begins......

is this a 29er? I have a 29er front 12mm axle wheel unused somewhere. had to buy the pair and only needed rear.
