Was it even called retrobike then? A 1997 bike then was only 9 years old. Pretty much brand new.

I occasionally look in the shed , sort of open the door and peek in , it's a big shed 10x14 , must be like an alcoholic looking at the emptys , what was I thinking ?
To be honest I was just enjoying the experience , all the unobtainium of previous years , the bikes and components you lusted after , building imaginary builds using the stiff and Noah's and various other adds from MTBUK , when those 5 letters , that acronym meant something to me
The brands , not even brands , gods of CNC , cooks , ringle , syncros , hope ,use, zero, pace , topline, and that's just the component stuff
Trimble , pace ( again) Fuji , alpinestars , scott, GT , cannondale , ms racing , Raleigh , s-bike ,Saracen , and others I have failed to remember
They are all still in there , waiting for me to throw open those doors and bring them out into the light again
I feel it's going to be a good summer
