1" Aheadset - advice &/or stem needed

I have a '96/'97 Orange P7 that has Girvin Suspension forks fitted. I wish to refit the original forks (1" unthreaded steerer) but no longer have a 1" Ahead stem.
I am on the lookout for a suitable silver coloured stem with a high degree of rise (maybe 20 deg.) to give a less racey position.

Alternatively, could anyone advise on the suitability of adding a shim to a 1 &1/8th stem please?

Or a 1", but no rise. I had planned on 'modding' it (as it's quite long!) to give the required rise :? .....
