Just a quickie: I bought a Giro Indicator crash-hat from Halfords at the weekend. Instead of the usual price of £50.49, they've knocked a third off, so I got mine for £33.66.

I was just getting those details from the Halfords web-site, and spotted the Bell Slant at a reduced price as well:

Hope this helps someone...

Sorry if it upsets you, but the RRP on the Giro indicator is £30 anyway, see http://www.madison.co.uk/productinf...r2=Helmets+-+Sport+&+Leisure&catref=CG2007294
The prices went up to around £40 in Feb, but came back down to £30 a few weeks back (currency fluctuations according to the importer, but who knows). Any decent bike shop will sell you one for £30, so god knows how Halfords ever sold any at £50+, and even their "sale" price is 10% over what you should be paying. Yet another reason to support your local shop instead.

The usual thing with Halfords then.

They stick a helmet up for an inflated price in a branch where no one is liable to buy it then they can legally claim it's discounted. DFS do a similar thing with their furniture.

Prophetic words, Breezerboy. I was in my LBS today, and the guy queuing in front of me bought his daughter a Giro Indicator.... for £30!

We live and learn....
