So..... Another build starts.



Bought from here some time ago with a slow build in mind, and it has been slow.



Inspection of the frame showed stress marks in the paint, it had cracked off/chipped near the head tube, much was chatted about between my frame guy and I but the feelings are that given the tubing and the wall thickness, chances are it may just be down to flex, I reached out to danson for an opinion too, although it looked like a head on crash he came to the same conclusion that it could be just flex too. Definitely worth saving.


I sanded the frame back to steel to see the affected area and it showed no signs of cracking, fatigue or bulging,....... just a ding in the top tube.

Time to get on with it.

I believe this one was built in 1992, it is the first Dave Lloyd bees neez to me made, it is pictured in the MTB pro magazine below.

Frame no LL92622z it is a mix of 653, 531 and 753 tubing.

So as you are probably all aware the frame is the way at the moment having a dent-filled, soon as it's back it will be getting the same treatment ..... TBC
