£400 lightweight City bike

My friends asked me to help find them a bike. I think a rigid MTB would be perfect.

If anyone has something really clean, lightweight & nice. Can offer you a decent amount of money.

Up to £400 posted.

Will consider incomplete bikes too.

The rider is 5'11". Only stipulated that he wanted it to be light. Ideally the important parts like brakes will be high end. (like XT V brakes).

Rigid and Light... gives you some scope to throw a better saddle on and £35's worth of M739 V's

thats perfect if it fits. You think it would be ok for someone nearly 6' ?

I'm 5'11 and the chap I got it from was 6'1", plenty big enough for both of us.
