    Making Beer

Last Sunday, I bottled it all up, and it's been sat in the garage for the past few day, clearing nicely. Not long to go now!

    ProFlex 854

One "Second Chance Offer", £60 and a trip to Cheltenham and back, and I now own a ProFlex 854. Good bits: Frame in excellent condition LX front hub on a Mavic 238 rim LX rear hub on a FIR rim with anodised purple nipples! And some trick skewers, I think. XT Front Mech Gripshift Zoom...

    ebay rant!!!!!

When it comes to eBay, I look at the item. I think to myself "how much do I want to pay for this item?" then enter that amount. Sometimes, I get an email back telling em I now own a coffee table or somesuch, and other times, I don't. When I don't, someone thought the item was worth more than I...

    bike workstand advice

Bike Hoist from Lidl, £4.99 I wouldn't pay £60 for something to suspend a bike. Unless you're working on bikes for 37 hours a week.

    Making Beer

Seeing as I have gainful employment of some description at present, I have little time to go to the pub. So, I attended the "Edible Garden Show", where I saw lots of pigs, some chickens and goats. I also heard a talk by a man from the telly, who MrsA seemed quite keen on. And a talk by a man who...

Top Gear finally gets its comeuppance

I wouldn't have written the claim form quite like they did, but that is their job and everyone's a critic nowadays. If I were in their shoes, I would have filed, anyway, as the publicity is good, and the fact that a libel trial gets a jury, who might be sympathetic to the cause. So that's a win...

Top Gear finally gets its comeuppance

I'll see you that and raise you the following: RH's "Should I worry about" and something he did about cjildren's books which was awesome. JM's stuff about toys and making things out of meccano and so on. Like we do with pushbikes. And ManLab. Which nobody like, except me, it seems. JC's...

    employment law q?

Hence 'sticking in a grievance' and making a protected disclosure, as that'll cover any victimisation that might follow.

No, cut and dried discrimination by association.

    employment law q?

Employer has possibly broken the law, and, in my eyes, he bloody well doesn't have a leg to stand on. This is discrimination by association. The short of it is: She has a protected characteristic, and the employer is discriminating against him due to this. If I were your friend, I'd...

    £500

I went down to the LBS and the Cannondale Quick 5 is looking good at £500 at the moment. I prefer it to the Marin hybrids with suspension. In fact, I might even go as far to say that I could be tempted by one myself. Thank you for the help so far, good peoples.

    Cycling in Normandy

Turn up at the tourist info and ask for the maps of cycling in the area. I was there last summer, and they were most helpful. If I can find some of the things I got from there, I'd be more than happy to post them to you.
